How to Become a CNA With Online Courses

To become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), you must take classes to learn basic and more advanced concepts and duties required to help nurses at hospitals and doctor's offices. You can visit a vocational school or college to take courses or register for an online CNA course. The online schools are familiar with the state requirements and help you prepare for your state's specific exam to receive the proper certification.

      Complete an associate's degree with a concentration in health-care administration at University of Phoenix's Axia College. This program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. An enrollment adviser helps you choose the exact courses you need to best prepare you to pass the CNA exam in your particular state, before you begin. When enrolled, you can take your classes and exams from home on your computer.

      Take online courses at Kaplan University. The school offers an associate's degree in medical assisting to set you on the path to get your CNA certification. Review the curriculum, submit an application online and consult with an adviser to choose your courses. In addition to computer-based classes and tests, you also have remote access to the university library service to do your research.

      Enroll in online classes with LA College International. This school offers an associate's degree in health care administration for those who want to become CNAs. After registering, you'll set your own weekly schedule for logging into classes and get your course materials online. The small class size of between 15 to 17 students and access to the Student Success Network allows you to interact efficiently with your professors and classmates.
