How to Change a PSD File to a JPG
After creating or editing graphics projects in Adobe Photoshop, the application saves the Photoshop drawings as PSD files. PSD is the native format used by Photoshop before exporting a graphics project to another format.
If you want to post Photoshop projects on the Web or embed them in documents, you will need to change the PSD file to a more compatible format. JPEG or JPG files are viewable in many different applications and are the format of choice for most website developers. In Photoshop, saving a PSD file in the JPG format is as easy as a few clicks of the mouse.

Click and select "JPEG High," "JPEG Low" or "JPEG Medium" from the drop-down list next to the "Preset" label at the top of the menu screen. The higher quality JPEG images create larger size files. Choose a JPEG type that provides acceptable appearance in the preview window while trying to keep the file size as small as possible. You can view the estimated file size in the preview window.

Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the preview window. After the "Save Optimized As" window appears, enter a file name for the new JPG file in the "File Name" text field, then click the "Save" button.
