IMVU is an innovative chat program where users create 3D avatars, play games and meet other players. You can either buy these credits online using a credit card or you can earn them for free in several ways.

1. Buy credits using a credit card. The price of the credits depends on how many you purchase. Five thousand credits cost $5, while 300,000 credits cost $200. You can also sign up for the VIP Club which costs $9.99 a month and gives you 5,000 credits per month.

2. Verify your email address. When you sign up for IMVU you'll get a link sent to your email address. When you click this link you'll receive 500 credits.

3. Complete partner offers. These offers include signing up for advertiser's services and watching advertiser's videos. You can earn 1,000 credits or more per offer or video completed.

4. Become a fan of IMVU on Facebook. If you have a Facebook account, you can link your IMVU account and Facebook account. When you "Like" IMVU on Facebook you earn 500 credits. Search for IMVU on Facebook and press the "Like" button on the fan page to complete this offer.

5. Refer friends to IMVU. When you sign up for IMVU you are given an invitation code. Send this code to friends and have them create an account. Every time a friend signs up with your invitation code, you'll receive 1,500 credits.

6. Play with your pet. Every player has the chance to have a pet on IMVU. Every time you play with the pet you'll receive at least 10 credits.

7. Join the creator program. Every item on IMVU, from the clothes to the objects, is created by IMVU creators. If you have graphic design skills you can become one of these creators.
