How to Send a Ringtone to an LG VX8300

Beat the system with these simple steps.

When getting a new phone, most people like to add their own personalities and download their favorite ringtones. Unfortunately, downloading a ringtone from your provider can cost $3 or more and if you have a lot of songs you want, it can end up costing you more than it's worth. However, there is a loophole around this problem and it will only cost you the price of a picture text message, usually around 25 cents.

Things You'll Need

• Internet access
• Email account
• Ringtones
• LG VX8300

Instructions

1. Get on the Internet and log into your email account. Open a new email to send. In the "To" box type your 10-digit cell phone number @vzwpix.com. It would read like [e-mail].

2. Click the "Attach" button to attach the ringtone files. Click on the ringtones you want to attach to the email. Push "Send" to send the email. It will show up on your phone as a picture text message.

3. Open the picture text message. Click "Save As" to download the ringtones to your phone. Repeat this step for every ringtone, as you can only download one ringtone at a time.
