How to Set Up Passwords for Apple WiFi
The Wi-Fi feature on your Macintosh computer connects the built-in AirPort card to your wireless router, which provides a high-speed Internet connection whenever the network is available in your AirPort network list. When joining a new network that is secured, you are required to enter a password, which allows access to the protected network. The password is stored in your network preferences once entered, according to Apple, and does not require re-entering later.
