How to Install Custom Maps for COD4

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the fourth entry in the wildly popular and long-running first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty. As implied by its title, Call of Duty 4 takes place in a more modern, cold war setting rather than the World War II settings seen in previous installments. As is common with popular first-person shooters, it has an active mod community that produces custom maps for other fans to enjoy.

Instructions

1. Open your start menu by clicking the "Start" button.

2. Double click "My Computer."

3. Select the drive you installed Call of Duty 4 on and go to its folder.

4. Double click the "usermaps" folder to open it. If there is not a folder named this, right click, select "New Folder" and name it "usermaps."

5. Drag and drop your custom map into this folder.
