How to Save Text to a Computer with the Nokia 6085 Phone

The Nokia 6085 is a sleek mobile phone with a built-in music player, VGA camera and Bluetooth capabilities. In addition, the Nokia 6085 has the ability to send and receive text messages easily. In the event that you want to recall the details of a text message, you may consider saving the message to your computer. The fastest way to do this is to forward the information to an email account.

Instructions

1. Press "Menu" followed by "Messaging" on your Nokia phone.

2. Select the option "Inbox" and open the message that you want to save to your computer.

3. Press the "Options" key and select "Forward." Enter your email address in the "To" field and press the "Options" key, followed by "Send."

4. Log in to your email account and open the message that you forwarded from your phone. Highlight the contents of the message. Right-click your mouse and scroll down to "Copy."

5. Launch a Word document program from your computer. Click the middle of the document, right-click your mouse and scroll down to "Paste." Click "File," then click the option "Save."

Tips & Warnings

• You can also save the text message in your email account.

• You cannot save text messages using Nokia's PC Suite synchronizing software.
