How to Stop Quickbooks From Accessing the Internet
Quickbooks is financial software that allows small businesses to perform payroll and accounting tasks. The software simplifies tasks such as updating to the latest payroll tax tables and performing online banking tasks. It also features a learning center that teaches users how to use the software. Some of these tasks require an Internet connection; however the user can also stop Quickbooks from connecting to the Internet by changing the settings.

Open Quickbooks.

Click the "Help" menu.

Select "Internet connection set-up."

Select "I do not have Internet connection." Click "OK."

Wait five minutes, then close the program. Restart the program. Quickbooks will no longer access the Internet.

Tips & Warnings
To download updates or perform online banking, restore the Quickbooks Internet connection.
Quickbooks features that require an Internet connection may not work after turning off the Internet connection.
