Become a Zumba Fitness Instructor
Zumba is a growing workout phenomenon that blends an aerobic workout routine with South American dance moves. When attending a Zumba class, the idea is to have fun and dance while getting a full body workout. There is a growing demand for Zumba instructors because of its increasing popularity. To become a Zumba fitness instructor, you need to attend the learning classes offered through the Zumba Academy on the official Zumba website.

Log on to the Zumba website. Locate the "Instructor Training" option in the horizontal menu bar on the front page. Click on it to access the "Zumba Academy."

Browse through the option for Zumba training classes. You can choose either the Zumba Basic Steps Level 1 class, an upbeat and faced paced class, or the Zumba Gold, designed to be a lower-intensity workout. You will learn the basic Zumba steps in both classes.

Find a Zumba instructor near your area to start the training process. Use the online Zumba instructor search on the Zumba website. Use your zip code to narrow the search.

Register for the Zumba training course to become a registered Zumba instructor. The required minimum age for registration is 18.

Attend the scheduled Zumba training day, you registered for in the previous step. On the training day, you will receive a basic Zumba level DVD, a Zumba soundtrack, a basic rhythm DVD, an instructor manual and your completion certificate. This is applicable for both the beginner level and Zumba Gold.

Purchase additional Zumba music on the Zumba website and put together your workout routine.

Contact your local gym or workout facility to inquire about teaching a Zumba class. Your certificate in hand, you are allowed to teach Zumba .
