How to Run MSConfig for a Computer With Slow Processing

MSCONFIG is a tool that controls the processes on your computer. This feature of the Windows 7 operating system allows users to turn off startup items or boot processes on the system. When the computer has too many processes running, it could be at risk of either running very slowly or even crashing. You can easily turn off a lot of these processes by using the MSCONFIG feature on your computer. You don't have to be a computer scientist to use this feature. You can do it yourself with little hassle.

      Click the "Start" button.

      Type "MSCONFIG" into the search menu at the bottom of the screen.

      Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
