How to Uninstall Google Web Accelerator

Google Web Accelerator was an installable Windows application from Google that sent your Internet browsing traffic through Google's servers, compressed data before your computer received it, managed your Internet connection and pre-fetched web pages. Google Web Accelerator is a discontinued, unsupported product that is no longer available for download. Google also shut down the web accelerator servers, so Google Web Accelerator no longer functions. If you still have Google Web Accelerator on your computer, you can uninstall it from the Control Panel.

  Click "Start" and "Control Panel."

  Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel window.

  Select "Google Web Accelerator" by clicking it in the list of installed programs.

  Click the "Remove" button. Google Web Accelerator uninstalls automatically.
