How to Restore From the Recovery Partition on an Acer Aspire 4730Z
Acer America Corporation, with headquarters in San Jose, California, manufactures the various Acer computers, including the Acer Aspire series. Acer computers are equipped with the Acer eRecovery utility tool. This tool allows users to manage system backups, create recovery disks, reinstall program system files and applications, and restore your Acer to original factory settings. A factory reset will erase all data on the hard drive, reformat the hard drive, and reinstall the original operating system and any special Acer programs.

Click the "Start" button. Navigate to "All Programs," "Empowering Technology" and "Acer eRecovery Management."

Click the tab "Restore."

Select "Restore system to factory default."

Follow the onscreen instructions to begin the recovery process.

Tips & Warnings
While not necessary to use the recovery process, create a recovery disk before attempting the recovery process, in case something goes awry. You can create your recovery disks within the Acer eRecovery Management program under "Backup."
The recovery process will delete all existing data on your hard drive. Create back ups of any personal and important files before beginning the recovery process.
