How do I Clean Air Filters on 2005 Honda CRF 100s?
Having a dirty air filter in your Honda CRF 100's engine can rob your bike of the power it needs to ride on the trails. The air filter is made of a sponge-like material. It has millions of small holes that stop dust and dirt from entering the carburetor and the engine. When these holes get plugged up, the carburetor has less air to mix with the gas. This reduces your engine's power and can cause serious engine damage. Taking a few steps to clean the bike's air filters can improve its overall performance.

Tips & Warnings
After the gas has evaporated you can wash the filter with soapy water if you like.
Use rubber gloves when working with gas or any other chemical.
Make sure you let the gas in the air filter evaporate completely before putting the filter back into the CRF. This will help prevent the risk of injury when the bike's engine gets hot.
