How to Upload My Picture

You can place images online for several reasons. Whether you want to add a picture to your profile on a social networking website such as Myspace or Facebook, add a photo to your online photo album or insert an interesting image into your blog or website, it's essential that you know how to upload the photo. As you upload in the same manner on the vast majority of websites, mastering the process of doing so will allow you function online with a great deal more ease.

• Digital picture stored on your hard drive

Instructions

1. Point your browser to the website where you plan to upload the picture. Log in to the website if necessary using the username and password you established when you signed up for service. Click the button that reads "Upload Photos" or "Add Photos."

2. Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the location of the digital picture you want to upload. Highlight the image link and click the "Open" button.

3. Click the "Upload" button and wait for the picture to upload. Follow on-screen prompts to add a caption or description to your picture.
