How to Disable the Sleep Mode on an Okidata 4600
Sleep mode, known on Oki products as "Power Save" mode, is a great way to save both energy and money. According to Arizona Public Service Company, using a default power save mode after 15 minutes on typical electronic devices can save as much as 60% on annual energy costs. However, one of the drawbacks of Power Save mode on the Oki B4600 is that the fuser will need to heat up again once the printer comes out of Power Save mode before you can print the next job. If you need to eliminate this delay, you can disable the Power Save mode altogether.

You don't have to turn the Power Save mode off entirely. You can instead increase the number of minutes before the Power Save mode is activated. The default value is 15 minutes (15 MIN). Press the "Select" button in this menu, then press "Value (+)" or "Value (-)" to change these times. When finished changing the time value, press the "Online" button.
Some of the changes to the printer settings can be overridden by the default settings contained within printer drivers. Be advised that if you reset your printer settings to default within the computer interface, this may affect the settings you have manually changed on the printer itself. By default, Power Saving mode is enabled and set to 15 minutes.
