How to Transfer a Hitachi DZHS300A DVD Hybrid Camcorder to a Computer

All you need is a DVD drive to upload your saved video content.

The Hitachi DZHS300A is a mini DVD video camera that records all the audio and video content directly onto a small DVD. Each recording session is saved as an individual file, allowing you to bring up the content without searching through a tape. If you are looking to edit the contents of your mini DVD, you must transfer the information from your camcorder onto a computer.

Instructions

1. Open the mini DVD compartment on the side of your Hitachi DZHS300A video camera. Remove the mini DVD and close the compartment.

2. Power on the computer, then insert the mini DVD into the disc drive of the computer. Close out the AutoPlay window that loads onto the screen.

3. Click "Start," "(My) Computer," then double-click the DVD icon. A new window load with all the files stored on the DVD.

4. Click-and-drag the video files from the open window onto the computer. This transfers the video files from the Hitachi mini DVD onto the computer.
