How to Activate a Used Cricket Phone

Use Cricket online activation process to activate a used Cricket phone.

Activating your used Cricket cell phone is easily done using Cricket's online self-service option. Cricket, one of the leading prepaid wireless companies, allows customers to activate a used cell phone under its PayGo service. As of October 2010, Cricket's PAYGo plan provides users with unlimited talk, text and web for $1 a day.

Instructions

1. Visit Cricket's website (see Resources) and click the link "Active Now."

2. Remove the battery from the back of your phone and locate the Equipment Serial Number (ESN) on the sticker inside the compartment.

3. Type the ESN number into the "Serial Number" field on the online form. Complete the security puzzle and click "Next."

4. Type your name, billing address and home phone number into the online form. Select the plan "PAYGo."

5. Click the "Activate" button to complete the activation process.

Tips & Warnings

• Contact Cricket customer service department at 1-800-CRICKET ([phone]) if you have any problems completing the activation.

• Fully charge your phone before you start the activation process.
