1
Acquire lockpicking tools, or bend two paperclips into a tension wrench and a lock pick. For the tension wrench, unbend a paperclip into an L-shape and twist one end of the paperclip around itself. For the lock pick, twist a second paperclip into an R-shape.
-
2
Insert the tension wrench into the bottom of the lock. Apply firm pressure in a clockwise direction while picking the lock.

3
Insert the lock pick into the lock. Apply pressure in an upward motion at various depths inside the lock. A pin lock typically has four or five pins that must be pushed up to release the lock.
-
4
Raise all pins to unlock the lock. Usually a faint click can be heard when a pin is successfully raised. When all pins have been raised, the lock will turn as a result of the tension wrench.
