How to Upload Speed Checker

A speed checker will help you see how fast or slow your connection really is.

Speed Checker, or speed checker programs, are programs that are used to discern the speed of your current network. If you wish to upload information to a speed checker, you can easily do so with one of many versions of the programs. Once you upload information to speed checker, you can use the information to compare to what type of service you are paying for, to see if your connection is really as fast as it is supposed to be. You can also use speed checker to make sure your connection is not broken.

Instructions

1. Find and download a speed checker program from the Internet, or you can buy one at a store. Your Internet Service Provider might have one of their own, or might have one they recommend for you. There are thousands of speed checkers, but they all work in pretty much the same manner. Some are listed in references for you to check out.

2. Double click on the icon for the speed checker program once it has downloaded, or on the installation CD you purchased. As you double click, the program will open and begin to install on your computer. Click through the installation screens until it is fully installed.

3. Click on the icon for the speed checker program. As you do, it will open. Make sure you are connected to your Internet. The information will upload into the speed checker program, and the program will tell you how fast or slow your Internet speed is.
