How to Upgrade to 3GB Memory in XP
RAM is essential for any computer and it determines the number of programs that can be running at any time. It also effects the performance of programs that require a lot of memory such as photo editing software or high end games. Most computers that come installed with XP are shipped with about 1GB of memory. Upgrading to 3GB can be done by anyone with basic technical skills.

Tips & Warnings
The specific amount of memory you need will depend on how many slots your computer has. For example, if you have only two slots and each is filled with a 1GB stick, you will need to purchase a new 2GB stick.
Do not force the RAM stick into the slot. It will slide easily into the slot with firm pressure.
