How to Replace the Cooling Fan in an HP Pavilion DV6000
The cooling fan in an HP Pavilion DV6000 notebook computer works to keep the temperature down so the internal components of the computer don't overheat. While the fan is necessary to ensure your computer does not overheat, it can be a nuisance if it's working too hard and becomes noisy. Replacing it entails taking the computer completely apart, from the top to the bottom.

Tips & Warnings
In order to assemble the computer with ease, you should maintain an organizational procedure from the beginning of the disassembly. Use plastic sandwich bags and labels, if necessary, and place the components you remove and their respective screws inside the bags.
Touch an unpainted metal surface periodically to remove the static from your body.
