How to Disassemble a Sunbeam Mixmaster Model 2360

To keep your Sunbeam Mixmaster working at its potential, you must clean it thoroughly after every use. Properly cleaning a model 2360 requires disassembling it to some extent. The parts designed to come apart disassemble easily with the press of a button. Never force a part to remove it or attempt to remove parts not designed to be removed for cleaning. Doing so will void your warranty and may damage the mixer.

Things You'll Need

  • Screwdriver
  • Set the Mix-Finder dial to the "Zero" position and unplug the mixer.

  • Hold the mixer's head up to the vertical position. Press the beater ejector button at the top of the mixer near the handle. Pull out the partially ejected beaters one at a time.

  • Lift the mixing bowl off of the turntable.

  • Pull the revolving turntable off of the Mixmaster's base.

  • Hold the mixer head upright. Unscrew the screw holding the worklight lens in place. Squeeze the edges of the worklight lens together until the tabs pop out of the rim. Then tilt the worklight lens down and pull it out.

  • Detach the mixer head. Hold down the mixer-release trigger near the base of the Mixmaster while holding the mixer's head. Simultaneously press the head lock button. Then pull it away from the machine.
