How to Uninstall Linksys Software

Linksys routers allow multiple computers in a network to connect and communicate in a secure environment. Cisco Connect software is also automatically installed during the router's installation. Cisco Connect allows for management of your Linksys router, including settings for guest access and parental controls. You can remove the software if you don't require it.

  Open the "Start" menu, then click on "Control Panel". Click "Uninstall a Program", located under "Programs".

  Click on "Cisco Connect" in the "Currently Installed Programs" menu. Click "Uninstall/Change". The Cisco Connect Uninstall tool appears. Click "Uninstall".

  Write down your Linksys user name and password when they are displayed. Click "Close" to complete the process.
