Add your own photos and custom holidays to a calendar you create online.

Digital photography allows you to use your digital photos in a variety of ways. Many websites offer the technology to create and order calendars that incorporate your personal photos. Many of these sites also allow you to customize the calendar with your own text, and add notes about birthdays or anniversaries. Prices, quality and turn-around times vary by site, but the concept and general process is similar no matter which service you use.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to a website that allows you to make photo calendars and create an account (see Resources).

    • 2

Log into your account, and select the "Add Photos" or "Upload" option. Navigate to where your photos are stored in your computer folders, select the photos you want to use in your calendar, and press "Upload."

    • 3

Look for a button or tab that says "Calendars" or "Create Calendars," and select it to open the calendar creation tool.

    • 4

Select the type of calendar you wish to create, such as single-page, multi-page, 12-month or 18-month.

    • 5

Select the starting month and year. Most calendars start in January, but you can choose a different starting month if you would like. Specify whether you want the site to include standard holidays if the site provides that option.

    • 6

Find the photos you uploaded to the site--typically, they're along the side or bottom of the calendar-creation area--and click on them or drag them onto each page in your calendar, depending on the site you use.

    • 7

Customize your calendar by rearranging the photo order, resizing photos or adding multiple photos to a page. You also may be able to crop, zoom or rotate the photos, depending on the site you're using. Add text to each page describing the photos as captions or as special messages for each month if you like. Most sites also allow you to add clip art, borders and other elements to each page.

    • 8

Preview each page in the calendar, and click "Check Out." Follow the website's payment and delivery instructions.
