How to Enable Voice Chat on Everquest
Everquest games are some of the most expansive and well-known online role-playing games of our generation. One of the defining qualities of Everquest is the integration of voice chat to communicate with your friends and the entire Everquest community. Setting up voice chat improves your communication with your teammates and provides you with a source of entertainment.

Install a mic or headset if you don't already have one. A headset can be attached to your system through a plug on the front of a laptop. On a desktop computer, the plug is located on the front, near the CD-drive. The plugs are clearly labeled with a picture of headphones. Plug in the headset. Your system will recognize the new hardware and install it automatically.

Pull up the main menu from your Everquest game by pressing the "ESC" key. Click "Options" and then "Voice Chat Options." Click "Enable Voice Chat." This will bring up a voice chat tool bar on the main screen.

Right-click the video chat toolbar to bring up a list of video chat preferences. From here, can mute other people, set your volume or change your voice channel.

Push CTRL to talk to your friends or other players. This is the default setting, but you can change it through your video preferences, as mentioned in step 3.
