How to Put Music on a Samsung Cell Phone

Samsung devices have the ability to play music files downloaded from your computer's media player. Music files supported by these devices must be AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, WMA, 3GP, MP4 or M4A extensions. Steps for adding music will vary from device to device. Memory capacity depends on the storage space available on your microSD card.

Things You'll Need

  • microSD memory card
  • USB cable provided with your phone
  • Open the Media Player on your computer.

  • Connect the USB cable to your phone and to an open USB slot on your computer. When connection is established a small computer will appear on the top of phone phone's screen.

  • Click the "Sync" tab on your Media Player.

  • Right click "Playlist" and select "Add to Sync List."

  • Click "Start Sync" button to begin syncing playlist to phone. After synchronizing is complete you can unplug your phone and enjoy your music.

Tips & Warnings

  • The microSD card must be inserted in the phone prior to connecting your phone to your computer.
