How to Test the Windows Media Player Plugin
The Windows Media Player plugin is a free program created by Microsoft that installs into the Firefox Web browser to enhance its multimedia capabilities. Once installed, the plugin is automatically activated if a Web page needs the use of the Windows Media Player technology for playing a video. Testing the Windows Media Player plugin will verify it is working correctly and does not need to be reinstalled. This can be done by going to a special Web page set up to activate the Windows Media Player plugin if it is installed inside of Firefox.
