Cleaning Instructions for an Oasis Water Dispenser

Clean your Oasis water dispenser with dish soap.

Oasis water dispensers allow users to keep a clean water supply on hand in the home without requiring you to purchase gallon jugs or single water bottles, which eventually accumulate a lot of trash. The water dispenser instead allows you to insert a typically 5-gallon jug of water onto the dispenser unit, which you can then access using either hot or cold water taps. To keep the Oasis water dispenser running properly, clean the unit every month or so, or as needed when you notice buildup.

• Water
• Dish soap
• Cleaning rags
• Toothbrush

Instructions

1. Remove the water container from the unit and discard any remaining water.

2. Pour 1 tbsp. of dish soap and 1 tbsp. of white vinegar into the water container.

3. Place your hand tightly over the lip of the bottle and shake it for 15 seconds. Discard the water and rinse the container with clean hot water to get rid of leftover soap and vinegar. The vinegar works as a natural disinfectant.

4. Fill the kitchen sink with 1 tsp. of dish soap and 1 gallon of hot water.

5. Dip a cleaning rag into the soapy water, then scrub over the Oasis dispenser's water reservoir, taps and handles. Scrub small crevices with a toothbrush moistened with the soapy water. Rinse and wring out the cloth.

6. Pour 1 tsp. of white vinegar into the Oasis unit's water reservoir, then fill it the rest of the way with hot water. Drizzle 1 tsp. white vinegar over the damp cleaning rag then wipe down the taps and handles again.

7. Run the vinegar water that is sitting in the reservoir through the hot and cold water taps. Run another gallon of hot water through the taps to get rid of any leftover vinegar residue.
