How to Unblock Websense Enterprise

You can access a websites being blocked by Websense Enterprise by using a proxy site.

Websense Inc. delivers an assortment of Web security products including the Websense Web Security Gateway, Websense Express and the Websense Web Filter, which is also known as Websense Enterprise. The Websense Enterprise security product is a widely used filtering software favored among network administrators for its flexibility and accuracy. However, this product is so stringent that in some cases you may find yourself unable to access websites that you need to access. Fortunately, in such cases, Websense Enterprise can be unblocked by using proxy sites, which are websites that help users gain access to blocked Web content.

Instructions

Unblock Websense Enterprise Using Proxy Wizz

1. Unblock Websense Enterprise by visiting the Proxy Wizz website (see Resources). Proxy Wizz provides Internet users a free service that helps unblock Internet restrictions stemming from Websense Enterprise and other types of filtering software. When browsing the Net through the Prox Wizz server, your IP is kept hidden and your location undisclosed so you can unblock Websense Enterprise securely.

2. Type the Web address you want to access in the text box displayed in the center area of the Proxy Wizz page.

3. Click on the "GO" tab below the text box to allow Prox Wizz to unblock Websense Enterprise and give you access to the site you need to view.

Unblock Websense Enterprise Using URLbrowse.info

1. Visit the URLbrowse.info proxy to unblock the Websense Enterprises filtering settings (see Resources). URLbrowse.info is a proxy site you can access for free to unblock Websense Enterprise on any type of network. This site provides anonymity and security when you browse the Net and through its server you can access any websites you need.

2. Add the URL address of the Web page being blocked by Websense Enterprise in the text box shown at the bottom of the URLbrowse.info page.

3. Click the "Go" tab next to the text field to view and begin using the website that was previously blocked by Websense Enterprise.

Unblock Websense Enterprise Using ProxRefill

1. Browse to ProxRefill and unblock the Websense Enterprise filters on your network (see Resources). Designed to cater to students and office employees, ProxRefill offers its server for free so that Internet users may unblock Internet restrictions originating from Websense Enterprise and other software. When using ProxRefill, anonymity and security is also provided, plus you can access and delete the cookies your computer acquires when you browse the Internet.

2. Begin the process to unblock Websense Enterprise with ProxRefill by clicking the small "start browse here" link situated in the center of the screen. Proceed to type the URL of the site you want to unblock in the text field that will appear after you click on the link.

3. Click on the "Go!" tab so ProxRefill unblocks Websense Enterprise filtering settings and gives you access to the blocked Web content.
