How to Upgrade the Wii Browser
The Nintendo Wii revolutionized the home gaming experience. The Wii allows the user to actively participate in the game they are playing by using movement controlled devices. The Wii has many other features which include movie streaming and internet browsing utilizing Opera Software. In 2007, Nintendo released an update for the Opera Software. This update includes better scroll interface, decreased start-up times, favorites list, search button and increased zoom capabilities.

Check to ensure that your Wii console is connected to the Internet. If you have accessed the Internet before, the Wii's wifi should automatically pick up your connection.

Aim the Wii remote at your screen, and select the "Internet Channel" from the Wii menu. Once the browser loads you will be notified if there is an available update.

Read and agree to any User Agreement updates. From here, you will be notified how many Wii Points are needed to complete the upgrade. If you agree, you will need to select "Yes" when prompted.

Aquaint yourself with the new browser options once the download is complete. You will now be able to add favorite sites to your browser as well as enjoying the ease of six-tabbed browsing.

Tips & Warnings
If your Wii console freezes during the download, you will need to restart the system and then retry your download. If you have already purchased the download, you will not need to pay any addition Wii points to resume your download.
