How to Do a Factory Reset on a Viewsat VS2000 Extreme

The Viewsat VS2000 Extreme digital satellite receiver gives users the option to reset the unit to the original factory defaults using the menu options. It might be necessary to restore the defaults if a problem arises after you change one of the receiver's settings, such as channel data. After restoring the defaults, you will be able to re-enter the correct information.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the VS2000 remote control.

2. Use the "Ch Up" and "Ch Down" buttons on the remote control to navigate through the menu options.

3. Select "Installation" on the main menu and press "OK" on the remote.

4. Select "Factory Default" on the "Installation" menu and press "OK" on the remote.

5. Select "Yes" and press "OK" on the remote when you are asked if you want to continue. The reset process will begin. It may take several minutes for the factory reset process to complete.

Tips & Warnings

• If the "Main Menu" is locked, you must enter a PIN. The default PIN is "0-0-0-0."
