How to Insert Hyperlink in Adobe Illustrator CS3
Inserting a hyperlink into Adobe Illustrator CS3 can be done by adding a link to an image or piece of artwork that is on a document. This creates an imagemap, which allows a user to click on a specific area of an image to open a link in a new browser window. You are able to add an imagemap by first determining what image or piece of artwork to use in placing the hyperlink.

Double click the Adobe CS3 icon to open the program. Select the “File” dropdown and select “Open” to open a previously saved document.

Click the mouse and select an area of the image to place the hyperlink.

Select the “Window” dropdown and click the “Attributes” option. This will open the window for the "Attributes" palette.

Select an option to use for the shape for the boundary of the imagemap. Enter the Web address for the hyperlink, including the "http://" portion.

Click the “Browser” button if you want to preview the imagemap link in your browser. Click the “File” dropdown and select “Save for Web...” to save the document as an HTML file.

Repeat this process for adding additional imagemaps to images on your document.
