How to Find the Recycle Bin on Windows

The Recycle Bin typically is displayed on a Windows desktop.

The Recycle Bin is located on the desktop of Microsoft Windows computers. While users can move the bin around the desktop screen, its default location is in the upper left corner of the desktop. If the Recycle Bin is not on the desktop, this means the user has hidden it. To make the Recycle Bin appear again, un-hide it.

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."

2. Click "Appearance and Personalization" and select "Personalization."

3. Click "Change desktop icons."

4. Click the check box next to "Recycle Bin" and click "OK." The Recycle Bin will now reappear on the desktop.
