How to Make Your Own Website With a Blog & Stuff On It
Building a website is great for communication and promotion, and adding a blog gives your website a personal touch. While a website is for more permanent information, blogs tend to be used for up-to-date news and announcements. Even if you have no experience creating and designing websites, you can use one of a few web hosts to make your own website with a blog, along with images, video and lots of other stuff on it.

Navigate to WordPress.com and select the sign up link, then type in a username, password, email address and a title and URL name for your website. Click "Create blog."

Select "Appearances," browse the templates and select "Apply" beneath the one you want to use. Click "Pages," then "Add New." Give each page a title and content, including text, images or video. The title of each page will automatically be added as a tab on the homepage of your website and should focus on your more permanent information, such as "About Me," "Contact" or "Services."

Click "Posts," then "Add New." Give each post a title and content, including text, images or video. Every post you add will be featured on your blog and should focus more on personal and/or "news" information.

Select "Preview" each time you add a post or page to view your website and blog full screen. Select "Publish" when you are finished.

Navigate to Blogger.com and select the "Create A Blog" link, then type in a username, password, email address and a title and URL name for your website. Click "Create blog."

Search through the templates Blogger offers on the next page and click on any to preview them full screen. Click "Apply to blog" beneath any template you want. Click "Edit Pages," then "New Page" and add a title, text, images and/or video. These pages make up your website and should focus on your more permanent information, such as "About Me," "Contact" or "Services."

Click "Edit Posts," then "New Post" and give each post a title and content, including text, images or video. Every post you add will be featured on your blog and should focus more on personal and/or "news" information.

Select "Preview" each time you add a post or page to view your website and blog full screen. Select "Publish" when you are finished.
Weebly Website and Blog

Navigate to Weebly.com and enter a username, password, email address, title and URL name for your website, then click "Continue."

Drag the template you want to use from the top of the screen into the workspace below. Click and drag the fields to arrange them the way you want, and click inside each to add text and images. Click "Pages" to enter a new page that will appear as a tab on the homepage of your website.

Click "New Blog" (also on the "Pages" section) to give your blog a name, then click "Save." Click "Edit Page" to add content to your blog or your other pages. Select "Publish" when you are finished.

Tips & Warnings
If you choose Blogger, use "Blogger in Draft" (see references) to create your website, as regular Blogger does not allow the "Pages" option. (The blog creation and registration process is exactly the same.)
