How to Play a VCR on a Media Player Computer
Connecting a VCR to a Windows Media Player computer lets you watch old videotapes on the PC or laptop and record a digital copy, if desired, using an analog to digital video converter. The video converter connects in-between the computer and VCR using a composite AV cable and USB cable. A software CD must first be installed on the computer so it can communicate with the converter box and process signals from the VCR.
