How do I Find the Year My Kenmore Dishwasher Was Built?
Dishwashers are very convenient and are not uncommon in the average household. Kenmore, a brand sold by Sears, is not manufactured by Kenmore. Sears contracts its appliances out to other manufacturers and then places the Kenmore name on it. To determine the year a Kenmore dishwasher was built, you must first determine which company originally built it. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Find your owner's manual. In some cases, the date of production is stated in the manual.
-
2
Locate the serial and model numbers of your dishwasher. The model and serial plates are usually located along the top panel of the door. If you cannot locate them there, search the back of the dishwasher.

3
Navigate your browser to Appliance Aid's website to find the age of your Kenmore dishwasher. First, select Kenmore from the manufacturer list.
-
4
Discover the code for each serial number. Each set of numbers represents a certain code designated by the manufacturer, and will give you that date your dishwasher was produced. For instance, if your dishwasher was created by Amana, the first four numbers represent the year and the week. So 0206 would be the sixth week of 2002.
