How do I Use a Galvanic Aesthetic Machine?
The manufacturers of skin care product boast of the positive results of their treatments. For any treatment to work, it needs to penetrate the skin. A galvanic machine uses negative and positive current to force a skin product deep into the skin. Up to 24 hours after the treatment, your skin will continue to deeply absorb treatment products. You may have the treatment performed by an esthetician, or use a unit made specifically for home use. Does this Spark an idea?

Face Treatment

Cleanse and tone your skin as usual.

Apply the pre-treatment gel to the skin of the face and neck. Apply it generously. Do not massage it into the skin.

Attach the face conductor to the galvanic unit.

Program the galvanic unit for the pre-treatment by pressing the selection button until it reaches the corresponding number for the treatment. Wet the hand you will use to hold the unit. Then hold the unit in the hand.

Touch the unit to the face and slowly rub the conductor on the skin with firm pressure over the skin that has the pre-treatment gel on it. Do not go in closer than the edge of the bone on the area around the eye. Avoid contact with the lips. Do not break contact with the skin as you move the conductor around. Continue until you hear the beep indicating the end of the treatment.

Remove the unit for the face and wipe the excess gel off of your face and the unit.

Apply the treatment gel to the skin of the face and neck in the same manner that you applied the pretreatment.

Program the galvanic unit for the treatment by pressing the selection button until it reaches the corresponding number for the treatment. Wet the hand you will use to hold the unit. Then hold the unit in the hand.

Repeat steps four and five.

Use a clean wet cloth and remove the remaining treatment gel from the face and from the galvanic unit.
Hair and Scalp Treatment

Apply the hair and scalp treatment to clean, towel-dried hair. Use your fingers to lightly massage it into the scalp. Do not apply the product beyond the hairline.

Attach the scalp conductor to the galvanic unit.

Program the galvanic unit for the hair and scalp treatment by pressing the selection button until it reaches the corresponding number for the treatment. Wet the hand you will use to hold the unit. Then hold the unit in the hand.

Touch the conductor to the scalp. When you hear the unit beep, start rubbing the unit from front to back on the scalp.Continue until you hear the beep indicating the end of the treatment.

Style your hair as usual. Do not rinse the product from the hair.

Tips & Warnings
Professional galvanic machines operate based on the same principles, but a license beauty therapist uses her knowledge to adjust them to your skin. The models for home use have predetermined setting so that people with all skin types can safely use them. You must use special ionized treatments with galvanic units. Most companies that sell the units also sell the appropriate skin and hair products.
Do not use galvanic current if you are pregnant or if you have metal implants or a pacemaker.
