How Do I Change the Cabin Air Filter on an '02 Chevy Silverado?
The 2002 Chevrolet Silverado is equipped with two cabin air filters that are located in the same filter compartment. The cabin filters keep the air in the heating and air conditioning system clean and free of allergens and dust. Chevrolet recommends replacing the cabin air filters after every 10,000 miles or once every 12 months. Frequent driving on dirt roads or in heavy traffic will cause the filters to become dirty more quickly. Dirty cabin air filters are less effective in keeping the air in the passenger compartment clean.
