How to Open OCX Files

OCX files are also referred to as ActiveX files.

OCX files are ActiveX controls. These files were previously referred to as Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) files. They perform functions such as resizing a window or creating a scroll bar and have become associated with software and application development programs, the most common of which is Microsoft Visual Studio.

Instructions

1. Launch Microsoft Visual Studio.

2. Select "Open" from the "File" menu.

3. Locate the OCX file you wish to open and click the "OK" button.
