How to Make a Conference Call With Telstra

Conference calls are essential not only in businesses but for personal use. If you have a lot of contacts and need to speak to more than one person at the same time, you need to have a suitable device for hosting conference calls. Telstra provides a convenient way for you to host conference calls from the comfort of your own home and using your own phone. You can get any participant to join a conference call instantly with just a few clicks. Telstra conference calls can be initiated through standard or premium service.

Instructions

Standard Service

1. Instruct the participants to call into the service and wait to be welcomed by the Recorded Voice Announcement or RVA. The RVA will give specific instructions on how to go about the next steps.

2. Input your account number and PIN by dialing them directly on your phone's keypad. This information will be provided to you after subscribing to the conferencing services over the phone. Press the hash key (#) button after inputting the account number and PIN.

3. Wait for the RVA to advise you if your account number and PIN have been validated. The RVA will automatically transport you to the conference after the validation.

4. Hang up the phone to end the conference call.

Premium Service

1. Call into the service as the host of the conference call. You will be welcomed by an RVA to give the instructions for the call.

2. Input your account number and PIN by dialing them directly on your phone's keypad. This information will be provided to you after subscribing to the conferencing services over the phone. Press the hash key (#) button after inputting the account number and PIN.

3. Wait for the RVA to advise you if your account number and PIN have been validated. The RVA will automatically transport you to the conference after the validation.

4. Look forward to the prompt that will confirm if you have been placed in Call-Out mode. This means that you may now dial out the participant's number by entering their area code followed by their phone number and the hash key. Press star and one (*1) as soon as the participant answers to join the conference.

5. Stay in the call-out mode and repeat the previous step until you have manually added all the participants into the conference call.

6. Exit the Call-Out mode and move into the conference call with the other participants by pressing star, one (*1) again.

7. Hang up to end the conference call.
