The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of the Philippines provides free computer training through Informatics, a multinational company with the stated mission of training and educating global citizens. Informatics offers training for overseas Filipino workers as well as their dependents. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration gives scholarships allowing qualified applicants to receive practical, online training enabling them to obtain local and international employment.
Obtain free training in areas such as computer hardware servicing, computer programming, web design or technical drafting by contacting an Informatics location listed on the “Informatics Locations” website and then submit the documents they request. Once you receive approval, you can choose your Informatics branch or select online training to get access to courses enabling you to become a computer technician, programmer, graphics artist or website designer.
View details about the courses from the Informatics website. Course descriptions provide information about each course outline and list relevant information such as the prerequisite knowledge and how long it takes to complete the lessons.
Through TESDA, learn to use industry-leading tools such as AutoCAD, QuickBooks, Flash, Java and Visual Basic. Some courses develop specific professional skills such as PC troubleshooting and support-center call handling or enable you to obtain certification as an Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional.
