How to Print on Sticky Labels
Printing on sticky labels is a common task for people who work in clubs and organizations (printing mailing lists) or people who have to ship things (printing U.S. Postal Service labels for packages, or UPS labels to ship items via eBay). While the specifics of formatting the information will vary from job to job, printing on sticky labels is easy and straightforward.

1
Generate the label information through a mail merge function in a word processor or through use of an online shipping label generator.

2
Mark a piece of ordinary typing paper with a highlighter or magic marker. Do a test print on this page, so that you'll know which side of the paper your printer prints on.

3
Place your labels in the printer tray. Using the information gained in Step 1, make sure that the labels will be printed on the correct side.

Tips & Warnings
For printing mailing labels in Microsoft Word or Open Office, look at the "Mailings" tab (in Word) or "Mail Merge" (in Open Office Writer) and follow the instructions to format the information on the labels. UPS and the U.S. Postal Service have web applications that will help you print out a correctly formatted mailing label as well.
Always print a test sheet on ordinary typing paper first, and hold it (and a sheet of labels) front to back against a bright light source to make sure that everything is lining up.
