How do I Remove the Starter on a Mercedes Benz 300D?

Removing the starter from your Mercedes Benz 300D may be required if it is failing or you suspect it is failing. Removing it will allow you to have the starter bench tested for a clear diagnosis of the problem. If you are removing the transmission from your car, removing the starter is a requirement as well. If you need to replace it with a new starter, check with a Mercedes Benz dealer for a replacement. You may find one in an auto parts store but this is a rare part so it is not commonly stocked on parts department shelves.
