Instead of purchasing liquid soap, make your own at home with a bar of soap. Making your own liquid soap can save you money and spare you the trouble of going to the store to buy more. The soap can be stored in an airtight container if you make make multiple batches at one time.

  • Organic bar soap
  • Grater
  • Bowl
  • Stainless steel pot
  • 6 cups water
  • Blender
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. glycerin
  • Plastic storage container
  • Soap pump

Instructions

    • 1

      Grate a bar of organic soap into a bowl.

      Bring 1 cup of water to a boil on the stove top in a stainless steel pot.

      Pour the boiling water into a blender. Add the grated soap bar.

      Set the blender to the whip setting. Mix the ingredients until a paste forms.

      Add 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of glycerin. Blend for 5 to 10 seconds to mix the ingredients into the soap.

      Allow the mixture to cool for 15 minutes. Mix the ingredients again in the blender.

      Add 5 cups of water to the soap mixture. Pour the mixture into a plastic storage container and allow it to cool. Once the soap cools, you can store it in the container by sealing it with a lid.

      Stir the soap before you are ready to use it. When you are ready to use the soap, pour it into the soap pump.
