How do I Clean a JVC DLP/LLA Television?
JVC manufactures a line of widescreen televisions with digital light processing (DLP) technology for a bright screen with accurate color reproduction. The DLP projector contains more than one million micro-mirrors, each smaller in diameter than a thread, to reflect light filtered off a spinning color wheel. The light signal passes through the projector lens inside the JVC to illuminate the back of the screen, which is viewed from the front. The screen is easily scratched and susceptible to discoloration from many cleaning products. Special DLP cleaners are available, but you can make your own for pennies.

Tips & Warnings
Use only distilled water for the cleaning solution. Tap water may contain minerals or other deposits that can leave a film on the TV screen.
Do not use any household cleaning products or polishes on the DLP screen.
Avoid using a feather duster or similar cleaning implement that could scratch the screen.
Do not spray any solution directly on the JVC DLP screen, as it could get inside the component and cause a short circuit.
