How to Replace a Mercury Sable 2002 Cabin Air Filter

How to Replace a Mercury Sable 2002 Cabin Air Filter thumbnail
Heavy traffic conditions can shorten the life span of the cabin air filter.

The 2002 Mercury Sable is equipped with a replaceable cabin air filter. The cabin air filter keeps the air in the passenger compartment free of allergens and dust. Mercury recommends replacing the filter once every 10,000 miles, or every 12 months. Driving in dusty conditions, on dirt roads, or in heavy traffic will shorten the life span of the filter. A dirty cabin air filter restricts air flow in the air conditioning system, causing excess strain on the air conditioner fan motors.
