How Do I Tighten Up the Drawstring on Keen Sandals?

Keen sandals look like no others on the market, combining the look and protection of sneakers with the airflow of sandals. Instead of regular tie-up shoelaces or strap attachments like other types of shoes, Keen sandals use a bungee drawstring to secure the shoes to your feet. This prevents knots from coming untied and other inconveniences associated with shoes, allowing for safer and more relaxed wear. You can use the small plastic toggle button on the shoelaces to tighten the drawstring to fit your feet.

Instructions

1. Lay one sandal flat in front of you with the heel closest to you. Grab the plastic toggle with your nondominant hand and press down on the top button. This releases the lock on the laces that usually holds them in place.

2. Grab the base of the drawstring laces with your dominant hand and hold them securely in place. Gently pull the laces toward you while pushing the toggle away from you to tighten them.

3. Release the toggle button to lock the laces back into place. Repeat with the other sandal to make sandals comfortable for your feet.

Tips & Warnings

• Push and pull the toggle and laces in opposite directions to loosen the laces.
