How to Disable MyWebSearch

MyWebSearch toolbar affects Internet Explorer.

MyWebSearch is an Internet Explorer toolbar sometimes referred to as My Speedbar. The MyWebSearch toolbar appears in the top of your Internet Explorer Web browser and functions as a search engine. However, MyWebSearch also tracks your online behavior, slows your computer and may redirect your Internet searches. The MyWebSearch toolbar is found by most anti-virus programs. Additionally, the MyWebSearch toolbar can be removed manually.

Instructions

1. Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Uninstall a Program." The "Uninstall or Change a Program" window opens.

2. Click on "My Web Search" and then click "Uninstall/Change." You may also want to uninstall the following associated programs.

   "My Way Speedbar"

   "Search Assistant - My Way"

3. Close the "Uninstall or Change a Program" window.

4. Click "Start" and then click on the "Search Programs and Files" box.

5. Search for and delete the following folders. To delete a folder, right-click on it and select "Delete."

   "FunWebProducts"

   "MyWebSearch"

6. Restart your computer.
