MyWebSearch is an Internet Explorer toolbar sometimes referred to as My Speedbar. The MyWebSearch toolbar appears in the top of your Internet Explorer Web browser and functions as a search engine. However, MyWebSearch also tracks your online behavior, slows your computer and may redirect your Internet searches. The MyWebSearch toolbar is found by most anti-virus programs. Additionally, the MyWebSearch toolbar can be removed manually.

Instructions

      Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Uninstall a Program." The "Uninstall or Change a Program" window opens.

      Click on "My Web Search" and then click "Uninstall/Change." You may also want to uninstall the following associated programs.

      "My Way Speedbar"

      "Search Assistant - My Way"

      Close the "Uninstall or Change a Program" window.

      Click "Start" and then click on the "Search Programs and Files" box.

      Search for and delete the following folders. To delete a folder, right-click on it and select "Delete."

      "FunWebProducts"

      "MyWebSearch"

      Restart your computer.
