Printing a handout to accompany a PowerPoint presentation helps the audience follow along and serves as a reminder for future reference. As a reminder and future reference, it often makes the difference between being forgotten and making a lasting impression.

      Open the desired PowerPoint project. The finished presentation determines the content of the hand-out.

      Click on the "Office" icon button at the top-left of the screen. This drops down a list of options.

      Click on "Print," and another box appears with print options. Find the "Print what:" and click on the arrow to display the options. Choose "handout."

      Choose the option at the right of this section to fit the desired number of slides per page and orientation of the paper-horizontal or vertical. Select any other print options needed to produce the print project as desired. Click on "Preview" to see the project before printing if needed. Click "OK" to print.
