How to Add Effects in PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program that allows users to make compelling slides and visuals to accompany their presentations. PowerPoint includes powerful features for slide transitions, text effects and animation effects. PowerPoint's effects have the ability to turn a dull presentation into an entertaining one, all with the built-in features.

Instructions

      Open the PowerPoint file you wish to add effects to.

      Click the "Slides" tab and select the thumbnails of the slides you wish to add a transition to.

      Click the "Animations" tab and select a slide transition from the list available under "Transition to this Slide." Click "Apply to All" to apply the transition to the slides you selected in Step 2.

      Add transitions to pictures, text and other elements by selecting the elements and an animation from the "Animate" list located under the Animations group. Adjust the animation properties by using the custom animation panel to adjust the animation's options.
